“I consider this body of work ( Funny Weather ) in spirit with William Hogarth’s commentary works, William Blakes visual mythology and the tradition of Japanese wood-block printmaking. ‘The Wrong Box ‘ forms part of my ‘Funny Weather’ series of paintings – a dreamlike saunter through a world of bits , bytes and flashing lights. Subjected to the infantilised discourse of a post-truth world – straining to keep pace with a first past the post tempo on a globe about to become post-human. Truly, we are squinting through the looking glass.”
