“This work is part of a series ‘Beauty as Consolation’ (which I started in 2012) but chronologically it’s quite isolated in its approach because it goes with my concerns that came later. The series is composed by images of deserted locations, where there is no human trace. This particular work depicts an isolated Scottish landscape, represented in my imaginary as a paradise untouched by man for being only a place of passage for humans. The title goes around the notion of beauty and contemplation as a hypothesis of consolation for the human condition, with the aim of transcendency and redemption.”
