A Night Out

Bankside Gallery: Rising Artists, Jackson's Painting Prize 2023
Oil, Pencil
Canvas, Linen
100 x 100 cm

“The Painting tells of the nights that each of us has spent away from home, it wants to encapsulate in an instant entire wet and rainy experiences spent under the banner of alcohol and good cheer. the painting speaks to a generation of young people who blindly chase the weekend with the aim of forgetting the previous days, making the trash and the street their home. For many, self-destruction becomes a prerogative, and this painting tries to depict the feeling of collective loneliness the new generation is going through.”
