“At the time I painted this piece I was struggling with career uncertainty. My practice has been a constant and for that reason It has never been a profit driven activity. Nonetheless I do occasionally do work for money as a designer but it always comes at the sacrifice of my practice though it also helps fund it. None of this was really in mind when I painted this piece but it became apparent when I finished that there was some type of discord between two sides; a reconciliation within a pseudo ”self-portrait” that wasn’t quite matching up much like a chromatic aberration.”
