“In Boiled Egg and Other Tender Acts, I explore the act of feeding as a gesture of care and identity. The painting is executed on stretched flannel cloth, a material steeped in domesticity and gentle routines, echoing the intimacy of home life. Growing up in a multicultural household with Brazilian and British parents, I experienced how preparing and sharing food carries love, nurture, and a sense of belonging. Feeding becomes a lens through which I consider the intersections of personal history, cultural inheritance and everyday life.”
