“The cherry blossoms, floating contentedly on the surface, invite you to dip your hand into the cool water to play with the delicate pink blossoms. Only at second glance does the finiteness become apparent. The cherry blossoms have fallen in all their glory, are floating so beautifully and light, moving, spinning, wiggling but they will quickly wilt and disappear in the steady flow. A fact that is neither reversible nor stoppable. Death is where life is, perhaps in the background, but unnoticed and omnipresent. Cherries is a memento vivere to remind us to enjoy each day to the fullest, as if it were your last.”
