“What’s the story behind the balloons in my art? Creating these pieces has been a deeply personal journey, as I reflect on the fragility of life and our world, something I’ve come to understand deeply through my own experience of moving from country to country, in search of a place to call home. I’ve used balloons as a metaphor for life’s fleeting and delicate nature. They are beautiful, yet fragile—much like our emotions, our identities, and the journeys we take in search of stability. Each painting is a visual representation of my own feelings of vulnerability and resilience, shaped by the changes and challenges. Additional comments for ‘New Beginnings’: Snowdrops break through frozen earth year after year, reminding us that even when the world feels cold and uncertain, we hold the power to rise up and embrace new opportunities. Each brushstroke represents my own process of learning, healing, and finding strength in unexpected places.”
