“Every object, every shape and every colour holds its own story. Combining them, I like to tell mine. Fascinated by the sense of touch, I want the viewers to feel the textures of painted objects under their fingertips. This is strengthened by the visible layers of paint, that itself invites to be touched. Painting « a la prima » and from life I can make the subjects alive and the light to move. I love to study the endless and often surprising shades of whites throughout different materials and light situations. Every day is a pursuit of something interesting and poetic that can occur.”
