Developed from one of my 100 daily drawings of my garden in 2021, this is one of a series of imaginary nocturnal paintings inhabited by spirits from my past or imagination, called ‘Ghosts in the Garden’. I love the way large puddles and wet roads at night almost feel like a glimpse into an underworld chamber.
