“My art practice has always focused on space. Be it a figure’s relationship to their surroundings, or as an artist my relationship to the space which I occupy. Often I will depict everyday scenes that are regularly overlooked: glimpses of buildings, unusual reflections and shadows, and buildings stripped of their normal human interactions and activity.

My recent body of work has undeniably been influenced by the national lockdowns, with focus turned to closed windows and empty spaces. I transition between relief and intaglio printmaking and painting (in oils and acrylic), but always with the same focus on flat pigment, and directional, sometimes diffused light.”
