“Printmaking involves a significant amount of experimentation and the end result often resembles nothing like what was planned originally and this is what draws me to it more and more. It allows for a lot of experimentation and as I am relatively new to printmaking I am learning a lot about these fascinating and historical techniques whilst adding my own unique voice to it. Depicting horses and riders in a landscape with a rising moon, this etching is from an ongoing body of work that I call ’Horsemen Series’ which are visually descriptive pieces that loosely narrate a verse, historical passage (sometimes biblical as in this case, from the Book of Zechariah) or just a concept.”
