“A triptych inspired by my photos taken while swimming: at the end of a sea swim and after attempting to take photos of waves I would float and take a photo of my legs bobbing in the waves. They were a joke at first but soon entered my work, placing my submerged self in the seascape transformed studies of the waves into experiential selfies. The satisfying distortion of the figure and colours align with my weekly transformational and perilous encounter with the North Sea.”
