Alastair Gordon

I am a London based artist and lecturer. Paintings feature in various international collections and art fairs. Recent solo exhibitions at Ahmanson Gallery (Los Angeles), Rock House (Edinburgh), Nunnery Gallery (London) and Nomas Projects* (Dundee).

BA Hons at Glasgow School of Art (2002) and MA from Wimbledon School of Art, London (2012). After graduating I was awarded the Departure Arts residency in East London where I went on to establish Husk Gallery. Several awards for painting including the Shoosmiths Prize and shortlisted for various international prizes including Griffin Art Prize, Threadneedle and The Open West.

I lecture at universities and art schools across the UK and course leader for the professional practice graduate programme at the Leith School of Art in Edinburgh. I am co-founder of the Morphē Arts Trust and write for various publications on contemporary painting and the place of faith in art.
