Allan J Robertson

Allan J Robertson is a Scottish landscape painter based in Edinburgh. Some years ago he made a significant career change to pursue his artistic aspirations. Before becoming a full-time artist, He worked in the data management and graphics side of a structural civil engineering company. This experience gave him exposure to industrial history and imagery, which would later deeply influence his artistic work. He completed his Art Foundation Course at Leith School of Art before studying at Edinburgh College of Art from 2005-2009, earning a BA (Hons) in Painting & Drawing. He has been working full-time from his Edinburgh-based studio in Leith since graduation and regularly contributes to group shows across the country. His work is held in private collections in Scotland, Ireland, Germany, Canada and the USA.
