Andrea Serio

Andrea Serio is born in Carrara in 1973. Since twenty years devoted to pastels and coloured pencils, his drawings have been exposed during main national and international events.

Illustrator of children’s books, graphic novels and affiches, he also designed a number of covers for novels, magazines and records.

In 2017 and 2020, two solo exhibitions were dedicated to him at the Galerie Glénat in Paris.

In 2018, he published the artbook “Seriously” (Spaceman Project Editions), an anthology of the most representative artworks made in almost twenty years of activity.

After the great success of “Rhapsody in Blue”, his first graphic novel as a single author, translated and published throughout Europe, he tackled a Noir written by renowned Italian author and comic book artist Igort, “Gauloises” (Ed. Oblomov 2021).

His most recent collaborations feature Google, Einaudi, Feltrinelli, Topipittori, Le Nouvel Observateur, La Revue Dessinée, Magnard Jeunesse, Bayard Editions, Laterza, Mondadori, La Stampa, Seuil Jeunesse, Linus, Istituto Europeo di Design.

He is a teacher and Artistic Director of the International School of Comics in Turin.
