Antoinette Favre Bonvin
Born in NY in 1975, Antoinette Favre Bonvin is an artist and art-therapist who has been living in Paris, France since 2001.
As a young adult Antoinette accidentally found some charcoal and paper in an old home. After playing and exploring with these materials she realized that she’d also found a form of self-expression. She assisted an artist for two years, gained life drawing and art history lessons. Antoinette went on to pursue a degree in fine art in NY but, in 2001, she moved to Paris, France. She taught English, learned the French language and painted. While raising her family, Antoinette continued to create and took classes at the Ecole des Beaux Arts, Paris. In 2015 she obtained a degree in art-therapy from L’Atelier Les Pinceaux.
Antoinette participates is art fairs, she promoted her first solo gallery exhibit in 2019 and was supposed to participate at the Salon d’Automne, Grand Palais in October, 2020 but it was cancelled due to COVID-19.
Antoinette explores various subjects through her work, creating contemporary abstract paintings, “visual manifestations of relationships-the space between us”.
