Arthur Laidlaw
Arthur Laidlaw (*1990, UK) studied History of Art at the University of Oxford (BA/MA), before his postgraduate degree in Fine Art at City & Guild of London (MA). He has exhibited internationally, lives and works in Berlin.
Laidlaw was shortlisted for the Sky Landscape Artist of the Year (2014), won the Oxford Art Society Artist of the Year (2016), raised £25,000 in aid of the Syrian White Helmets with his exhibition Razed (2016), was shortlisted for the Elephant Art Prize (2018), won ‘Best Site-Specific Installation’ at The Others Art Fair (2018), and was shortlisted for the ArtPiq Painting Award (2019). He has been exhibited internationally over the past decade, in shows including Distant Divides at Halle 14 (2022), Doubles at June, and From Almora To Amrum at Efremidis (2021).
