Catherine Lette

Catherine Lette is a practicing painter living and working in South London. Having completed a BA in Fine Art at Central Saint Martin’s College, Lette is now participating in the Turps Off-site Painting Program to continue to develop her painting practice and gain access to a wider network of critically minded peers and mentors.

Lette’s work is concerned primarily with the figure and questioning the impact of contemporary life upon body and mind. Inspired by current events and the cosmopolitan city she lives in, she uses drawing and painting from life alongside memory to explore embodiment and disembodiment in the real and virtual spaces that we live in today.
