Dominika Lehocká

Dominika Amarylis is a painter living and working in Nitra, Slovakia. Drawn towards the painting since her childhood, she studied fine arts at Zurich University of Arts in Switzerland and on Eugeniusz Geppert Academy of Fine Arts in Wroclaw, Poland. Her work can be seen as a poetic visual diary. Fascinated by details, fabrics and their patterns, flowers, birds, interesting objects and their shape and decoration, she captures and combines them into a short story mostly in oil painting and aquarelle. Although her paintings are realistic, she loves the oil paint itself to be seen and the water do its work when painting with aquarelle. Her aquarelles are part of a collection of Novohradské Museum and Gallery in Lučenec, Slovakia.
