Lena Rivo
Lena Rivo lives and works in sunny Portugal. She paints a variety of subjects, including landscapes, colorful still life scenes and figures. The bright Portuguese sun strongly influences Lena’s work therefore the scenes she paints are often drowned in light. Lena primarily paints with gouache, but she also uses oils and acrylics for larger works.
She loves to work on location along the Portuguese coastline, painting the blue ocean waters and fishing ports. When she feels the urge to use more vibrant colors, she sets up still life arrangements and paints in her cozy studio. When she’s not painting, she’s reading books, walking her dogs and visiting flea markets looking for objects for her still life paintings.
