Louis Romier

Born in a small village in France and raised in Miami, Louis Romier works from the tension of living between cultures. Exploring the uneasy space between agency and influence and the subtle ways human choices are shaped by environments, rituals, and constant pressures. While oil painting remains central to his practice, he also works across various mediums such as print, acrylic, photography, and experimental mixed-media formats. Each piece reflects his ongoing attempt to understand how people navigate the world when so much of what guides them may sit on the edge of consciousness.
