Lucy Kent

Lucy Kent is a self-taught British artist working from her studio in Wiltshire. She travels extensively, soaking up new environments which inspire her colourful and atmospheric representations of the place. Painting from life, Lucy then takes these studies back to her studio which inform more paintings with a focus on simplifying the scene and honing in on areas that interest her most, painting from memory and feeling. Using a combination of brush and knife, her paintings are expressive and emotional responses to the landscape.
