Magdalena Gluszak-Holeksa

Magdalena Gluszak – Holeksa (b. 1990, Poland) is an artist currently based in Hertfordshire, UK. She is a fellow at Digswell Arts and works from her studio at the Forge, Welwyn. She holds an MFA Fine Arts with a Distinction from Wimbledon College of Arts, University of The Arts London (2017). Her most recent solo show A Mountain, Too, Has Its Thoughts (2022) took place as part of her five-month residency (The Letchworth Residency, 2021/22 at Broadway Gallery.

Recent group exhibitions include: John Moors Painting Prize, Walker Art Gallery, Liverpool (2023), A Matter of Perspective, Liliya Art Gallery, London (2023), South Open, OHSH Projects, London (2023). Recipient of an A-N Professional Development bursary (2022) and two artist grants from The Elizabeth Greenshields Foundation (2017 and 2018). Shortlisted for Jackson’s Painting Prize (2023 and 2019), Hix Award (2019) and ARTIQ Art Graduate Prize (2019). Featured in: Trebuchet Magazine, Issue 12 (2022), Saatchi Art Rising Stars (2019) and Jackson’s Painting Prize Artist Interview (2019).
