Rory Brooke
Rory Brooke is a printmaker living in London. Most of his pictures are landscapes with a focus on simplified composition. His visual language has an emphasis on blocks of colour, strong geometric shapes, and contrasting patterns and textures. His usual mediums are screenprint and linocut. He is largely self-taught. He is a former member of Birmingham Printmakers and the founder of East London Printmakers (ELP). He has been selected for shows including Sky Arts Landscape Artist of the Year (pod contestant), ArtGemini Prize Exhibition (awarded Printmaking Prize), ELP Festival of Print (awarded Printmaking Today Prize), and London Art Biennale.
