Vivienne Rew
Vivienne Rew is a botanical artist based in the Staffordshire Moorlands. Whilst working as a freelance Graphic Designer, Vivienne decided to renew her love of painting and started studying botanical art using watercolour.
In 2017 she exhibited at The RHS London Art Show with 6 paintings titled Metamorphosis – Life cycle of Papaver Orientale and was awarded a Silver-Gilt medal. One of these paintings ‘Fading Beauty’ was entered in the 16th Hunt Institute International Artists Exhibition and is now part of their permanent collection. She has had illustrations published in Exotic Botanical Illustration with the Eden Project and Contemporary Botanical Illustration with the Eden Project and was awarded a Silver medal in 2008 by the RHS for her painting of Gourds which was part of a group exhibit titled Spots and Stripes with The South West Society of Botanical Artists (SWSBA)
Whilst still currently working full time as an art director and running a holiday let, botanical painting is a hobby that takes up most of her spare time, with each painting taking around 3 to 4 months to complete.
