“My semi abstracted figures are often placed within scenes of nature. An exploration of colour and form has underpinned my practice. Having moved to and lived in different countries, I want my work to exhibit a connectiveness and sensitive appreciation for places I know well, and frequently return to in my work. I have been increasingly interested in painting women within landscapes. Using memories of moments in time that have shaped my experience. Narratives around female connection and intimacy is a subject I often want to explore in my painting.”
