“My ambition as an artist has always been to open the viewer’s eyes to society’s excesses as well as the possibility of redemption in unvarnished beauty. I create pictures that explore how humanity masks itself from reality.
My work is a sardonic critique of our flirtation with escapism, nihilism, vanity and death. It is my hope that by holding a mirror up to both our outer and inner worlds, , I can reflect the deeper human truths, not generally seen in the mass media, and in my own small way spark greater societal as well as self-awareness.”
