Dan Jensen was born and raised in Chicago. He received his BFA from the University of Denver and also studied painting at the University of Mexico in Mexico City and the Art Institute of Chicago. After a 40-year career in manufacturing, Dan returned to painting when he moved to Naples, FL in 2015. He has exhibited his work nationally including The Salmagundi Club in New York and the Arts Club of Chicago, where he is an Artist Member. He has had a number of one person shows including, most recently, at the Naples Art Institute. He believes that art, above all, should elevate the human condition by depicting beauty in representational or abstract form.
