JP Oakley

JP Oakley is an amateur artist living and working in East Sussex and London. Inspired by the likes of David Hockney, John Nash, Edward Hopper, Peter Doig and Eric Ravilious, he picked up a brush in lockdown 2020 for the first time since school. The self-taught artist is known for brightly coloured acrylic works. He is keen to share the majesty of unknown landscapes in his local area, the High Weald, as well as scenes further afield, often placing figures within landscapes.
