Julia Słonecka

Julia Słonecka was born in 1990 in Warsaw. She obtained a Master’s Degree in Art at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw (Faculty of Painting) in 2017 and also the Bachelor’s Degree at University of Warsaw (Culture studies) in 2012. She won a prestigious Siemens Art Competition for the best diploma in the field of painting and graphics at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw in 2018 , she was also a finalist of such competitions as: the 14th International Autumn Salon of Art and 16. Autumn Salon of Art ”Loostro” at BWA Gallery in Ostrowiec Świętokrzyski, Triennial Competition of Small Painting Forms in Toruń, Nowy Obraz/Nowe Spojrzenie Competition. From 2018 to 2019 she formed an artistic collective Grupa Wolno with Marcin Osiowski and Antoni Gustowski. She took part in many individual and collective exhibitions.
