I’m from East Sussex, and took up painting just under 4 years ago when my daughter left home. I have fallen in love with loose watercolour landscape painting as it allows me to express the beauty I see around me, both rural and urban landscapes, and to explore the many memories and emotions I have collected and experienced over my lifetime so far.

I like to try to express the beauty in the mundane, sometimes neglected spaces as well as more typical subject matter. This year has meant less ability to travel in order to sketch and paint, so I have relied more on my extensive sketch books and photos, memories and imagination to express my creative urges in my studio, and try to express how I am feeling as we go through these very strange times.
