Robert McPartland

Robert McPartland was born in Redcar, North Yorkshire and studied Fine Art at Middlesbrough, Ravensbourne colleges and PGCE at Goldsmiths. He moved from London to Cardiff with his wife and family in 1995 where he now lives and works. He has exhibited in numerous group shows in London and Wales and is a past regional prizewinner of the Hunting Art Awards and National Open Art Competition. Robert taught art for 28 years whilst maintaining his practice and has had several one man shows in Cardiff: he has exhibited in the AAF on several occasions, Jerwood drawing awards and John Moores 2020. His work is in various private and corporate collections in the UK, USA and the far east. More details are available on the website. His main influences are Domenico Gnoli, Richard Diebenkorn, Piero Della Francesca and Fra Angelico; artists who deal with both the particular and the transcendental.
